William W. Straw, 66, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at his home. He was born Jan. 13, 1946, the son of the late Joseph and Jean (Faulkner) Straw.
Mr. Straw had worked at the Glen Gary Brickyard and retired from the Clearfield Machine Company.
He was affiliated with the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Clearfield.
Mr. Straw served in the U.S. Reserves and was a member of the John Lewis Shade Post #6 of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. (Kephart) Straw, whom he married March 25, 1967; four children, Sherri A. White and her husband, Bill and Kevin L. Straw , all of Clearfield; William J. Straw and his wife, Patricia, of Washington D.C.; and Robert J. Straw and his wife, Aretta, of Curwensville; seven grandchildren; Robert J. Straw Jr., Adam E. Straw, Gavin J. Straw, Samuel M. Straw, Payge E. Straw, Christian A. Straw and Luke E. Straw; a sister, Linda M. Daniel of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Straw was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis D. Straw.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield with Dr. Duane White officiating. Burial will be held in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of the services Saturday at the funeral home.
