WINSLOW TOWNSHIP – Four people were flown to the hospital after a single-vehicle accident at approximately 2:20 p.m. Monday along O’Donnell Road in Winslow Township, according to Chief Darren Scolese of the Reynoldsville Fire Department.
Four passengers were traveling in a minivan. One passenger was ejected from the vehicle, officials said. No one was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Officials said the minivan exited the roadway and traveled down an embankment. It came to a rest after striking a tree.
Scolese said he believes that the four passengers suffered major/severe injuries.
Officials said three passengers were flown from the scene. Scolese said one person was transported to the hospital by ambulance; however, they were eventually flown to another nearby hospital.
State police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
