Charlotte E. Freeman, 96, of Ansonville, formerly of Clearfield, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center. She was born June 2, 1916 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Merrell and Anna (Conaway) Condon.
Mrs. Freeman was employed at G.C. Murphy’s, Clearfield for 10 years. However, she spent most of her life as a homemaker.
She is survived by two children, Marlin Freeman and his wife, Shirley of Olanta and Marylee Strong and her husband, Duane of Ansonville; four grandchildren, Marlin E. Freeman and his wife, Kathy of Ramey, Mark Freeman and his wife, Alicia of Luthersburg, Valerie Hooven and her husband, Jerry of Olanta and Amy Cutler and her husband, Joseph of Ansonville; and two sisters, Violetta Beamer Clark of Frisco, TX and Faye Shaffer of Ansonville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry V. ‘Hank’ Freeman on Sept. 6, 1991 and whom she wed July 4, 1936.
She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Marie O. Anderson, Beryl Lucas, Evelyn Condon, Gloria Jean Condon, LaRue Sturgill and Joy Wright and four brothers, Robert, Lester, Gerald and Howard Condon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Richard Engle, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
