George E. Gallaher Jr., 54, of Clearfield died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at DuBois Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 28, 1958, in Oahu, HI, the son of George E. and Ethel (Maines) Gallaher of Clearfield.
He was Protestant by faith.
Mr. Gallaher was a 1977 graduate of Clearfield Area High School and of Vale Tech of Blairsville in Diesel and Automotive Mechanic.
He was a member of the Aerie #812 Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed fishing and Harley Davidsons. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and a collector of toy trucks and cars.
He’s survived by his parents; three children, Shannon Cline Randazzo of Tennessee and Destiny Gallaher and Shane Gallaher, both of Marysville; two grandchildren; two brothers and five sisters, Cindy Mattern and her husband, Ernie of Frenchville; Debra Lyon of Oklahoma; Robert Gallaher and his wife, Donna and Brenda Coudriet and her companion Matthew Michaels, all of Clearfield; Penny Sevek and her husband, Dave of BushKill Falls; Tim Gallaher and his wife Gwen of Fountain, FL; Amy Grubb and her husband, Floyd, of Three Springs; and James Miller of DuBois; 24 nieces and nephews and several great -nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Dustin Eugene Gallaher; an infant brother, David Craig Gallaher and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with Jim L. Knepp officiating. Burial will be in the Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. -4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. -9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday at the funeral home.
