Ethel E. Johnson, 65, of Clearfield died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born April 7, 1947 in Glen Richey, she was the daughter of Brooks and Mary (Chilcote) McCombs.
Mrs. Johnson had been a seamstress working for Kent Sportswear in Curwensville. She was also a licensed beautician in Pennsylvania.
On Sept. 2, 1976, she wed Frederick C. Johnson and who preceded her in death Dec. 20, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Susan Wilsoncroft Lucas; a granddaughter, Jenna Wilsoncroft Malone; two brothers, Charles and Brooks McCombs; and a sister, Anna McCombs.
Surviving are two sons, Walter P. Wilsoncroft Jr. and Jeffrey A. Wilsoncroft, both of Clearfield; three grandchildren, Ashley, Kristen and Casey Wilsoncroft; and give great-grandchildren Jaden, Trace, Dakota, Chance and Parker.
Also surviving are five brothers and sisters, Barbara Brown and her husband, James and James McCombs and his wife, Linda, both of Curwensville; Faye Tubbs and her husband, Ronald of Clearfield; Donald McCombs of Ohio; and Edward McCombs and his wife, Judy of Grampian.
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville, with the Rev. Samuel Maines officiating. Burial will be in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
