Dorothy Ellen LaFountain, 70, of Grampian died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Born March 6, 1942 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of James E. and Alice (Freeman) Hahn.
Mrs. LaFountain was a factory worker and currently employed by Magnetic Applications in DuBois. She was United Methodist by faith and was a member of the Curwensville Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #268.
She was wed to John LaFountain in 1973 and who preceded her in death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lonnie LaFountain; and a brother, Gluston Hahn.
Surviving are three children, Cindy Lentz of San Tan Valley, AZ and Mark Lentz and Julie Owens, both of Grampian.
Also surviving are two grandsons, Jason Lentz and Ryan Price, both of Grampian; three sisters and three brothers, Judy Weber and her husband, Lee of Grampian; Peggy Hoover and her husband, Andy of Houtzdale; Karen Stiles of Harrisburg; Kenneth “Butch” Hahn and his wife, Carol of Warren; Gary Hahn of Curwensville; and Roger Hahn of Sykesville.
Memorial funeral services for Mrs. LaFountain will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. in Curwensville, with the Rev. Gust Maderia Jr. officiating.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
