Kay L. Johnston Reed, 74, of Rockton died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at her home.
Born July 24, 1938 DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Samuel M. and LaVina (Price) Johnston.
On Aug. 23, 1958 in Kenmore, NY, she married Ronald N. Reed, Sr. He preceded her in death Nov. 9, 2010.
She worked for many years as a home caregiver.
She was a member of Light and Life Methodist Church.
She enjoyed baking, crocheting and crafts. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald N. Reed Jr. and his wife, Tracey and Chris A. Reed and his wife, Lisa, all of DuBois; Richard N. Reed and his wife, Debbie of Reynoldsville; and John Duttry Reed and Harold S. Duttry of Luthersburg; a sister, Linda J. Hand of DuBois; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Shawn Wells.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Howe officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
