CLEARFIELD – Joseph B. Bower Jr., president and chief executive officer of CNB Bank, has announced plans to introduce a new concept banking center and renovation project for the bank’s main office in downtown Clearfield.
In the upcoming weeks, demolition of the former Main Won and Gathagan Investments buildings will begin along South Second Street. The removal of these buildings will make way for an expansion of the bank, which will extend across the entire block of South Second Street, from Market to Cherry streets. The new structure will include an all new café style lobby and drive-up location.
“The design was inspired by the community of Clearfield,” said Bower. “We felt it was important to keep the exterior façade of the new building true to the existing historic downtown architecture and will also feature images of the community throughout the interior.”
Unlike traditional bank branches, the remodeled office not only features the community, but also introduces enhanced technologies to improve customer service, to maximize space and to increase associate efficiency and security.
The new building is projected to be completed and open in late 2013 and will include a new ATM, Internet kiosk, coffee station, open teller areas, digital signage, cash recyclers and a coin counter.
“Our business is all about the customer experience,” said Bower. “And, with this new concept office, we intend to provide a unique experience for our customers here in our hometown.”
CNB Bank traces its history in Clearfield back to 1865 and is committed to many, many more years. The bank has experienced significant growth over the past several years, which also created a need to expand the operations center to allow for the increasing number of employees. A renovation of the existing building will take place and is anticipated to be complete by May of 2014.
