UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s final two road games of the season – against Purdue and No. 20 Nebraska – have been set for 3:30 p.m. kick offs.
Coach Bill O’Brien’s Nittany Lions will visit the Boilermakers on Saturday, Nov. 3. The Big Ten Leaders Division clash will begin at 3:30 p.m. EST and be televised by ESPNU. Coverage on the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com will begin coverage at 2 p.m.
The Nittany Lions (5-3, 3-1) will be making their first visit to Ross-Ade Stadium since 2008. The teams annually meet as Leaders Division rivals. Penn State and Purdue first played in 1951 and will be meeting for the 16th time.
Penn State will visit the Cornhuskers on Nov. 10. The clash will begin at 2:30 p.m. CST in Memorial Stadium and be an ABC regional telecast, with coverage on ESPN2 in the rest of the nation. Nebraska visits Michigan State this Saturday before hosting the Nittany Lions for the first time since 2003.
Penn State and Nebraska will be meeting for the 15th time. The teams began playing annually in 2011 as Big Ten cross-division rivals, with the Huskers earning a 17-14 win. The Nittany Lions and Huskers are among the 14 FBS programs that have won at least 700 games all-time.
The announcement of the Purdue and Nebraska kick times brings the total of known Penn State start times and television information to 10 for this season. Penn State has played on TV in 224 of its last 226 games, including national appearances on ESPN (Ohio, Illinois, Northwestern and Ohio State), ABC (Virginia) and ABC/ESPN (Navy and Temple) and BTN (Iowa) this season.
The Nittany Lions will be making their eighth and ninth appearances this season on an ESPN network during the next two weeks. At least one of Penn State’s final two home games, vs. Indiana (Nov. 17) or Wisconsin (Nov. 24) will air on BTN.
