Regina Q. Rubbe, 100, of Curwensville died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at her residence.
Born Sept. 6, 1912 in Apollo, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of Joseph and Victoria (Dessippi) Durandetta. Mrs. Rubbe was a homemaker and was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church.
In Curwensville, in the fall of 1931, she wed Pasquale “Pucky” Rubbe, who preceded her in death July 3, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son and daughter-in-law James and Mona Rubbe; three brothers, Michael, Joseph and William; and a sister, Josephine. She was the last member of her generation
Surviving is a son William Rubbe and his wife, Corrine of Clearfield; six grandchildren, Joseph Rubbe and his friend, Kimberly Guelich of Curwensville, Chris Rubbe and his wife, Karen of Clearfield; Shane Rubbe and his wife, Nicole of Pittsburgh; David Rubbe of Johnstown; Michael Rubbe of Altoona; and Ann Marie Rubbe of New York City; and five great-grandchildren.
A public funeral service for Mrs. Rubbe will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with the Rev. Dr. Robert Ludrowsky officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
There will be no public visitation
