THIS WEEK
Penn State will enter its first night game of the year on a four-game winning streak when it travels to Iowa to face the Hawkeyes at Kinnick Stadium. The Nittany Lions and Hawkeyes are meeting for the 25th time overall, and sixth consecutive year, but after this year are not scheduled to meet again until 2015. Penn State and Iowa are among the four Big Ten teams who have not lost a conference game. Iowa posted a come-from-behind victory of its own last Saturday at Michigan State when the Hawkeyes rallied from a 13-6 fourth quarter deficit and earned a 19-16 double overtime victory over the Spartans. Mike Meyer booted a trio of field goals and Greg Castillo sealed the win with an interception of MSU quarterback Andrew Maxwell in the second overtime. The Nittany Lions are coming off of their bye week. Penn State posted a thrilling 39-28 victory over then-unbeaten Northwestern in come-from-behind fashion on Oct. 6. Trailing by 11 entering the fourth quarter, Matt McGloin engineered a pair of 80-plus yard drives in the fourth quarter, included the go-ahead score on a five yard touchdown run with 2:37 remaining.
