AMBUCS in Blair County in partnership with Tyrone Hospital, Advanced Regional Center for Ankle & Foot Care and Joshua House is offering a Blood Screening Program. Â
The blood screening includes 36 tests designed to assist with early detection of disease. The screening will be available for a cost of $45.  Â
An optional test for prostate specific antigen (PSA) will be offered at an additional cost of $20. A free foot and ankle screening will also be provided by podiatrist Dr. Christina Rowe from Advanced Regional Center for Ankle & Foot Care.
The blood screening will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Joshua House located at 123 W. 10th St., Tyrone, PA 16686 from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Registration for the screening is required. You may register by calling the Tyrone Hospital laboratory at 814-684-6384. Please specify if you are registering for the blood screening, foot & ankle screening or for both.
In accordance with Pennsylvania law, please be prepared at the time of registration to provide the name of a physician or to choose a doctor to receive and interpret their test results.
Proceeds from the blood screening will benefit disabled individuals in Blair County and neighboring communities.
