CLEARFIELD – Over the last 35 years, the employees of the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc. have strived to enhance the quality of life for older residents throughout the county and recently had a chance to celebrate.
The agency held its 35th anniversary dinner Sept. 20 at the Knights of Columbus in Clearfield and more than 200 people were in attendance. The event also served as a retirement celebration for John Kordish, Susan Kordish and Larry Cyphert and also as a formal welcome to the agency’s new Chief Executive Officer Kathleen Gillespie.
The night included recognition of the agency’s Board of Directors, Advisory Council, Auxiliary Executive Committee, RSVP Advisory Council and current staff. A meal was provided by Apple Catering. State Rep. Camille “Bud” George presented citations to all the retirees acknowledging their years of service and professional achievements.
A short video, produced by BC Production of DuBois, was shown. It featured many faces of the agency and focused on the agency’s guiding principles: Integrity, Best Service, Progressive Attitudes, Commitment to Community, Professionalism & Teamwork and Commitment to Employees. This video will soon be posted on the agency’s Web site, www.ccaaa.net, so others may view the accomplishments of the agency.
The CCAAA Inc., established in 1977, is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to providing a comprehensive array of the highest quality health and human services to residents of Clearfield County. As stated in their credo, the agency is committed to high moral standards.
