Allport Man Arrested on Drug Charges

CLEARFIELD – A 28-year-old Allport man, Christopher Edward Patrick, is facing drug-related charges, according to Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr.

On Thursday, Trooper Craig Needham of the Pennsylvania State Police, Punxsutawney barracks, filed a criminal complaint, charging Patrick with possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; possession of a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The criminal complaint states that on Thursday, troopers conducted a search on Patrick’s residence and property. As a result of the search, approximately 20 pounds of processed marijuana, 12 live marijuana plants and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia were discovered. Troopers also located numerous firearms both inside the residence and within the vehicle operated by Patrick.

The defendant was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Jerome M. Nevling. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to court documents.

Shaw said that the charges reflect the ongoing nature of drug investigation in Clearfield County. He was pleased with the efforts by the Pennsylvania State Police to identify and investigate drug-related cases in Clearfield County.
