CLEARFIELD – PennDOT will open a small bridge today on Route 2041, Bailey’s Settlement Road. The bridge spans Bailey Run about two miles southwest of the village of Hyde. PennDOT expects to have the bridge open by late afternoon.
Clearfield County Maintenance forces have been working since mid-September to replace the bridge with a new box culvert. Replacing the 75-year-old bridge allows PennDOT to remove it from Clearfield County’s list of structurally deficient bridges.
With the new bridge open, PennDOT will lift the detour that’s been in place since work began. The bridge carries an average of 600 vehicles per day.
PennDOT thanks area motorists for their patience during this closure and detour.
