CURWENSVILLE — On Saturday October 6, the Curwensville volleyball team hosted their annual Junior Varsity Tournament.
The West Branch Lady Warriors defeated the host Lady Tide in the finals 25-12, 25-19. West Branch went 6-0 in pool play to earn the number one seed. They beat Elk County Catholic in the semis to advance to the finals.
Curwensville was the number three seed after going 2-4 in pool play, but beat the number two seed Philipsburg-Osceola Lady Mounties 22-25, 25-18, 15-7 to advance to the match against West Branch.
The Lady Tide varsity (2-7) and junior varsity (8-1) will travel to St. Marys Monday night to face the Lady Dutch.
