BROOKVILLE – As more visitors discover the beauty and diverse attractions of The Pennsylvania Wilds, the region has launched a redesign of its Web site – www.PAWilds.com – with new features geared to help travelers explore the area.
The redesign allowed the PA Wilds Marketing Corp. to prominently position popular local attractions with easier navigation to dining, lodging and event information on a local and regional level. The Web site now features an interactive map of each county with iconic attractions and an improved event calendar to help travelers both plan a trip in advance and access travel resources on the go.

The Web site redesign comes on the heels of a recent Pennsylvania Wilds Leisure Visitor Conversion and ROI Study conducted by North Star, indicating an increase in the number of tourists and the average spending per person per trip in the Pennsylvania Wilds last year.
The study concluded that visitor spending has increased to an average of $251 per person per trip, resulting in more than $18,645,000 in visitor spending in 2011. Of the 882 visitors polled, the most popular activities include visiting state parks and forests, driving along Pennsylvania’s scenic byways and hiking, with 87 percent indicating that they are “Very Likely” to return to the PA Wilds.
