Martin K. ‘Marty’ Collins II, 32, of Clearfield died Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Altoona Regional Hospital.
He was born Jan. 2, 1980 in Clearfield, a son of Martin ‘Marty’ Collins and his wife, Donna of Clearfield and the late Kathy (Palmer) Gillen.
Mr. Collins was a commercial truck driver by trade. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was proud to be an organ donor.
He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Curwensville.
In addition to his father and step-mother, he is survived by his step-father, Randy Gillen of Penfield; two daughters, Madison of State College and Clarity of Clearfield; grandparents, Donald and Zaneth Casteel of Clearfield; three brothers, Ryan Collins and his girlfriend, Tanya Brooks of Lock Haven and Aaron Collins and his fiancée, Julie Yoder of and Eric Gillen, all of Clearfield; a sister Raquel Gillen of Cincinnati, OH; a step-brother, Randy Gillen Jr. of Clearfield; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jedd Collins and his grandparents, Ralph and Beverly Palmer, Gerald and Kathleen Collins and William and Evelyn Gillen.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Capital Fund, 121 N. Second St., Clearfield.
