Eva Marie Kerr, 89, formerly of DuBois, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at Christ the King Manor.
Born June26, 1923, she was the daughter of the late August and Amelia (Berty) Brigidi. On April 30, 1949 she married William L. Kerr. He preceded her in death on May 13, 1972.
She was a 1942 graduate of the Sandy High School and worked at the Jackson China Company in Falls Creek for 40 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Kerr was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Christ the King Manor Auxiliary and had previously been an active member of the Legion of Mary, the Catholic Daughters of America and the Adrian Hose Company #3 Ladies Auxiliary. She had also volunteered for religious education (CCD) for many years
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.Â
Mrs. Kerr is survived by five nieces, Carol Fye, Rose Minnock, Susan Cerecini, Lynn Peters and Lynn Walk and a nephew, Max Brigidi.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Aldo, Leo and Pat Brigidi; two sisters, Lena Anderlonis and Matilda Kasswara; a niece, Delores Mowery and a nephew, Paul Brigidi.
The family will receive friends from 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
