Petra Januskova and Chelsea Utting will now be competing in the main draw of the doubles tournament at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif. They replace Virginia’s Hana Tomljanovic and Erin Vierra as the Atlantic Region’s representative, after Tomljanovic withdrew.
Prior to this, the Penn State duo was scheduled to complete in the qualifying draw of doubles. With this change, there is now an open spot in the qualifying round of doubles. The spot will be filled by Marshall’s Dominika Zapranza and Maria Voscekova, Virginia’s Maria Fuccillo and Julia Elbaba or Tomljanovic’s originally scheduled main draw partner, Vierra, and her new partner Caryssa Peretz.
In addition to the doubles competition, Januskova will be competing in the singles main draw, with Utting starting in the prequalifiers. The championships begin with prequalifying rounds on Friday.
