CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Jamie Lynn McClellan, 32, of Roseland Road, Glasgow. McClellan was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on Monday.
On March 26, Trooper David Patrick of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield barracks, filed six criminal complaints, charging McClellan with burglary, criminal conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespass, criminal conspiracy to commit criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
The criminal complaints provide that in December of 2011 and January of 2012 the Pennsylvania State Police initiated an investigation into six, separate burglaries that occurred in Beccaria and Chest townships and Houtzdale and Coalport boroughs. Upon further investigation, it was found that McClellan and four other suspects had broken into several area businesses, a camp and the Glendale Sportsmen’s Club. McClellan and the other suspects unlawfully removed more than $11,000 worth of items from the various locations.
A preliminary hearing was held May 2, at which time all charges were held to court. On Sept. 11, McClellan failed to appear for plea and sentencing court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Shaw stated that on Wednesday, McClellan voluntarily surrendered herself to deputies from the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office. McClellan is currently lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
