BRADY TOWNSHIP – The DuBois-based state police are probing a hit-and-run accident that occurred Thursday night on Helvetia Road in Brady Township.
An unknown vehicle traveled off the left berm of the roadway and slid across a residential driveway into the front yard. It struck a house jack and slid sideways through the grass, striking two cement block pillars on either side of the front walkway. The pillars were knocked over. Then, the vehicle spun its tires through the grass and back onto Helvetia Road. The operator fled the scene westbound.
From speaking with the home owner, it’s believed the accident occurred around midnight. It’s unknown if the operator was wearing their seatbelt. The operator apparently was not injured, state police said
