Mary Alice Kirk, 81 of DuBois died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Presbyterian.
Born March 31, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Bruce C. and Madeline (Neeley) Titel. On Feb. 16, 1951, she married Harold R. Kirk Sr. He survives.
She was a homemaker and worked as an assistant to Dr. Yoo for many years.
Mrs. Kirk was an inspector for the Board of Elections for the Republican Party in the Fifth Ward of the City of DuBois. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and enjoyed knitting, flower gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by six children, Nancy Durden and her husband, John of Lawrenceville, GA; Linda Ingraham and her husband, Lionell of St. Petersburg, FL; Chris Kirk and his wife, Rita, Scott Kirk and Leigh Ann Burns and her husband, Rob, all of DuBois; and Harold “Fuzz” Kirk and his wife, Beth of Stanley, NC.
Also surviving are one sister, Ella Lou Guilyard of Franklin, TN; one brother, Charles “Bud” Titel of Latrobe; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Private visitation and funeral services will be held at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Sherwood officiating.
