HUSTON TOWNSHIP – One person sustained minor injuries following a single-vehicle accident that occurred at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Laurel Ridge Road in Huston Township, according to the DuBois-based state police.
Luke D. DeLarme, 19, of DuBois was traveling northbound on Laurel Ridge Road, a gravel and state forest road, between Laurel Run and Mud Run roads. He was allegedly driving too fast for conditions and lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a left-hand curve.
The DeLarme vehicle then slid sideways and off the right berm of the roadway. There, it struck a tree.
DeLarme was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He wasn’t injured. His passenger, a 17-year-old Penfield girl, wasn’t wearing her seatbelt and sustained minor injuries.
The DeLarme vehicle was towed from the scene. DeLarme was cited for driving vehicle at a safe speed.
