CENTRE COUNTY — Former Penn State University assistant football coach and convicted sex offender Jerry Sandusky has been scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 9.
At that time, Judge John Cleland will hold a hearing to determine if Sandusky is a sexually violent predator and then the judge will sentence him.
The hearing will take place at 9 a.m. the Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte.
Sandusky was convicted in June of 45 counts related to the sexual abuse of 10 boys. Officials say he will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.
