LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – A Johnsonburg woman, Pauline Dilley, was killed when a passenger car collided with a tri-axle coal truck at approximately 10 a.m. Monday on state Route 879, the Clearfield-Shawville Highway, according to GantDaily.com news partner WJAC-TV.
Lawrence Township fire officials said two adults and two children were trapped inside the passenger vehicle. Two children and one adult were flown by medical helicopter from the accident scene. One adult was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fire officials said Pennsylvania State Police will reconstruct the accident as part of the investigation. SR 879 is closed from the Interstate 80 interchange at exit 120 to the Shawville Bridge in both directions. It was not known as of 10:50 a.m. when the road would reopen.
