Harry V. Davis Sr., 73, of Clearfield died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Feb. 14, 1939 in Madera, a son of the late Francis Edward and Virginia (Root) Davis.
Mrs. Davis worked as a presser at the McGregor Sewing Factory of Clearfield and also provided lawn care in Clearfield.
On April 30, 1983 in Winburne, he married Cindy Ann Godin Davis, who preceded him in death.
He’s survived by four children, Harry V. Davis Jr. and his wife, Tina of
Smokerun; Teresa Gamble and her husband, Larry of New Kensington; Natasha Davis of Clearfield; and Nicole Cherry and her husband, Thomas of Indiana.
He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Elaine Fundack and Marie Yelko and her husband, Joseph, all of Madera; Kathryn Fry and her husband, Neal of St. Petersburg, FL; and Jean Yelko and her husband, Arthur of Interlachen, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a son, Rick A. Davis; a granddaughter, Autumn Coleman; a sister, Virginia Davis and a brother, James Phillips.
At Mr. Davis’ request, there will be no public visitation and services are private and at the convenience of his family.Â
