DUBOIS – The Clearfield/Jefferson Suicide Prevention Team Inc. will host its third annual awareness walk Sunday, Sept. 16 at the DuBois City Park.
Registration begins at 1 p.m. and is free; the walk begins at 2 p.m. and will be held rain or shine. Participants can walk alone or with a friend and may also have a resource table with their agency’s information.
Most participants are able to complete the walk within one-and-a-half hours. However, participants are invited to walk leisurely and to continue after reaching their personal or team goal. Rest areas, assistance and water will be provided during the walk.
Guest speakers will include Miss Teen Pennsylvania International Julianne Biddle, 17, of Altoona, whose platform is teen suicide awareness.
The event also includes raffles, a Chinese auction, children’s activities and a disc jockey. Festivities will conclude at 5 p.m.
