BRADFORD TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 12:09 a.m. Monday on Barrett Road at its intersection with Wal-Mart Drive in Bradford Township, the Clearfield-based state police reported.
Richard R. Cowder, 34, of Woodland was traveling northbound when he fell asleep. His vehicle traveled onto the east berm where it struck a concrete curb with its undercarriage.
The Cowder vehicle traveled an additional 124 feet north, striking a ditch with its front fender and undercarriage. It came to a rest facing northeast in a grassy field adjacent to the roadway.
Cowder was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He’ll be cited for careless driving.
