HUSTON TOWNSHIP – Minor injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 6:45 a.m. Monday along the Julian Pike in Huston Township, the Philipsburg-based state police reported.
Michelle L. Hastings, 47, of Milesburg was traveling eastbound when she took her eyes off the roadway. She was looking at an item inside her vehicle.
Her vehicle then drifted onto the southern shoulder at which point she realized she’d exited the roadway. She attempted to correct the action and struck a large tree.
She sustained minor injuries in the accident. She was wearing her seatbelt. She was cited for careless driving.
