UNIVERSITY PARK – An incident of sexual assault was reported to Penn State University Police at approximately 5 p.m. Sunday after it allegedly occurred that afternoon in the East Halls residence complex on the University Park campus.
The suspect who is known to the victim is a 30-year-old Caucasian man with brown hair and blue eyes. The suspect has been identified and the incident remains under investigation.
Penn State University Police remind the community to be aware of their surroundings and to trust their instincts. In addition, police said that sexual assault is a nonconsensual sexual activity, ranging from unwanted sexual touching to forced intercourse.
Anyone who observes suspicious people or circumstances is urged to contact the University Police immediately at 814-863-1111.
