Lois H. Lobb, 80, of Houtzdale died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg. Born Feb. 13, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Katurah (Stringer) Hutchinson.
She’d been employed as a bookkeeper and notary for Zulick Chevrolet and Cadillac, Houtzdale until her retirement. After her retirement, she continued her Notary Service at her home.
Mrs. Lobb was a member of the Pennsylvania Notary Association, Houtzdale American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and AARP.
On Feb. 2, 1951 in the First United Methodist Church, Houtzdale, she married Donald Lobb, who survives at home.
She’s survived by her son, James Lobb and his wife, Lori of Brisbin and two grandchildren, Andrew and Jessica Lobb.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Martha Louise Nevling, Catherine Jean Carlton and a brother, Blair Hutchinson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Brisbin Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Melhorn officiating. Burial will follow in the American Legion Cemetery, Brisbin.
Friends will be received 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale.
The Houtzdale American Legion Ladies Auxiliary will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
