Mildred R. Darmiento, 78, of Curwensville died Monday Aug. 20, 2012 at the Altoona Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 2, 1933 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of George and Carrie (Vaughn) Vail. She was a homemaker.
She was a social member of the Rescue Hose and Ladder Co., the Curwensville Moose Lodge #268, the Clearfield VFW #1785 and the Curwensville Veterans Association.
She’s survived by a son, John J. Darmiento Jr. of Curwensville, a granddaughter, Kasi Ann Tozer of Clearfield and a sister, Joan Peters and her husband, Calvin of Wallaceton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Darmiento; her daughter, Janet Piercey and her brother, George Vail.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville.
