Frances E. Mehaffie, 95, of Clearfield died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012 at the Knickerbocker Villa, Clearfield.
Born March 9, 1917, she was the daughter of Fred E. and Carrie (Marshall) Passmore. Ms. Mehaffie was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Centre Grove United Methodist Church.
Ms. Mehaffie is survived by three children, Leona I. Legg and her husband, Richard of Clearfield, Paul E. Mehaffie Jr. and his wife, Joyce of Paulden, AZ and the Rev. Dennis Mehaffie of Middlebourne, WV.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Richard Legg Jr., Paula Ann Queen, Cindy L. Owens, Mikki Verne, Angela L. Ridlen and Paul E. Mehaffie III, 15 great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
She was the last member of her generation preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, Paul E. Mehaffie Sr., a granddaughter, Sara Gail Mehaffie, a grandson, Edward W. Legg, a brother, Lewis Passmore, two sisters, Lenora Heise and Hazel Miller and a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Mehaffie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Centre Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Randy Willis officiating. Burial will be in the Centre Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday at the church.
