Albert R. Brunetti, 88, of DuBois and formerly of Curwensville, died Sunday Aug. 19, 2012 at his residence.
Born June 12, 1924 in Curwensville, he was the son of Oreste and Edith (Durandetto) Brunetti. He was a U.S. Army veteran.Â
Mr. Brunetti was Catholic by faith.Â
During his working career, he was a salesman for various businesses as well as owned and operated Wildwood Inn and Clearfield Builder Supply. He also managed Clearfield Truck Rentals.Â
He was a life member of the Rescue Hose and Ladder Co. in Curwensville and a past president of Curwensville Borough Council. He also served as treasurer for council. Â He was a past president of The All Sports Club through the Curwensville High School.
In 1976, Mr. Brunetti was named the Rotary Club Citizen of the Year.
He was an avid reader and avid golfer, where he won the senior club championship at Elizabeth City Country Club in North Carolina and senior club championship at Grandview Golf Course.
He’s survived by three children, Tod A. Brunetti and his wife, Diane of Dubois, John O. Brunetti and his wife, Crystal of Curwensville and Kim Richards of California. Also surviving are three step-grandchildren, Patrick Heath, Alyssa Heath and Margaret Heath and two sisters, Ann Louise Edwards of Texas and Rosalind Licherelli of Tonawanda, NY.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and wife Betty Jane Brunetti, who died July 25, 2005.
A public memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with Father David Foradori officiating. Burial will be held in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
