PENN TOWNSHIP – Four people sustained minor injuries after a single-vehicle accident at 2:50 p.m. Friday along the Mahaffey – Grampian Highway in Penn Township, the Clearfield-based state police reported.
Joyce B. Hinkle, 53, of Rossiter was traveling northbound when she lost control of her vehicle. She was negotiating a left-hand curve and her vehicle exited the east berm, where it then struck an embankment.
Hinkle and her passengers – three young girls – sustained minor injuries. All four were transported to the Clearfield Hospital for medical treatment. All four were using the proper safety restraints at the time of the accident.
Hinkle will be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
