The Penn State Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program, Jefferson County, is now accepting applications for classes beginning in October.
This program consists of a volunteer training course designed to provide experienced home gardeners with the information and skills necessary to share their experience and knowledge with others and to promote horticultural and environmental stewardship.
There is a program fee of $125 to cover the cost of the training manual and other materials. People can audit single classes for $20 with pre-registration. Classes will be held once a week, offered both Tuesday afternoon and Thursday evening. Â Applications are being accepted through Sept. 10.
