WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – A Brookville man has been jailed on drug charges after a traffic stop at approximately 8:15 a.m. Aug. 2 along Interstate 80 westbound at mile marker 89.8 in Washington Township, the DuBois-based state police reported.
Mark K. Aaron Jr. of Brookville has been charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and a window tint violation. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Inzana and placed in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Aaron was stopped for a traffic violation along I-80 and state police detected an odor of marijuana inside his vehicle. State police conducted am exterior canine search, which alerted to the vehicle. Then, state police obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and seized marijuana, prescription pills and several items of drug paraphernalia, including hand-held scales and repackaging materials.
