HORTON TOWNSHIP – Two men sustained major injuries after a two-vehicle accident at 2:48 p.m. Wednesday along Route 219 at its intersection withHoward Road in HortonTownship.
The Ridgway-based state police identified the man as Frank T. Quattrone, 18, of Ridgway and Mark F. Snelick, 46, of Brockport. Quattrone and Snelick were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Quattrone was traveling southbound; Snelick was traveling northbound on Route 219. The Quattrone vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and struck the Snelick vehicle. Both vehicles remained at the point of impact after the collision.
Both drivers’ injuries were listed as “major” by the state police. Quattrone was cited for careless driving.
