- Police are investigating the theft of two solar lights from aMapes Avenueresidence. The lights were designed like a hummingbird and butterfly. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact police.
- Police are investigating an incident of burglary that occurred at theChristian & MissionaryAllianceChurchin Wolf Run. Someone entered the church and removed a sum of money. The, they went to a safe and attempted to gain entry but wasn’t able to. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- Beecher Laforce was arraigned on theft charges, stemming from a July 2011 incident. His bail was set at $10,000.
- A disorderly woman was reported at theWal-MartSupercenter. The issue was resolved without criminal charges.
- Police responded to a local business and checked the welfare of an elderly man. The man was highly confused about an appointment he thought was scheduled for him. The man was OK and realized he was mistaken about the appointment. The man was assisted as he left the business.
- Police are investigating the theft of leased property from the Aaron’s store. The suspects are known to police and charges are currently pending. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- Police and fire units were dispatched to a local business. It was a false alarm.
- A traffic violation was reported in the Hillsdale area, but the vehicle was gone prior to police arrival.
- Someone contacted police regarding a child custody matter. The matter is civil and the caller was referred to her attorney.
- A domestic dispute occurred at theLawrenceParkVillageand involved several people. Police questioned them and are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Clearfield Borough Police and fire units were assisted in searching for a juvenile who was reportedly lost on the river. The juvenile was located.
- A local woman was traveling on state Route 879 when she swerved to miss a deer and its fawn. The woman applied her brakes and swerved, losing control of her vehicle, which struck the guiderail. It came to a rest in the westbound lane, facing east. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The woman reported she was OK.
- A domestic dispute occurred at theShaw Streetapartments. Police arrived and determined it’d had been a physical confrontation between neighbors. Neither neighbor wanted to pursue prosecution.
- An incident of disorderly conduct and harassment occurred at a local business and involved two men who were engaged in a fight.
