Raymond C. Johnson, 68, of DuBois died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012 at his camp, The Owl’s Den, in Potter County.
Born Aug. 17, 1943, he was the son of Carl and Edna (Matson) Johnson. His mother survives and lives in DuBois.
Mr. Johnson retired after 35 years of service at the Brockway Glass Co. He was a life member of the J.E. DuBois Hose Co. #3 and of Trout Unlimited and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid fly fisherman and gardener.
He was also a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Mr. Johnson is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Gino (Jeannie) Ferraraccio of DuBois; Mrs. Randy (Judy) Sponable of Stockbridge, GA; and Joy Cloak and her fiancé, Ralph Bruni of Goshen, NY; one brother, Chet Johnson and his wife, Barbara of DuBois; and one sister, Lois Shenkle and her husband, Fentley of DuBois; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Johnson of Towanda, NY.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Angelo and Dani Ferraraccio, Mandy Menzel, Samantha and Ryan Sponable, Ashley Slattery, Jake Cloak, and Krista Bruni, three great-grandchildren, Payton, Kyleigh,and Kole; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Donald “Bink” Johnson.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home and again from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Christ Lutheran Church in DuBois with the Rev. Robert Way officiating.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
