A disturbance occurred during which the perpetrators had a fire in a wooded area. Officers located the individuals and discovered one male had warrants for a probation violation and retail thefts. The male was taken into custody and placed in the Clearfield County Jail.
A known 18-year-old man and a juvenile were observed entering a vehicle at the intersection of Dorey and East 12th streets. When they observed police, they fled on foot. Criminal charges will be filed on both for attempted theft from a motor vehicle.
Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident on West Front Street. A vehicle was entering West Front Street from a parking lot and struck a vehicle traveling east on U.S. Route 22. Minor damage was reported. No one was injured in the mishap.
