BENEZETTE TOWNSHIP – Two people sustained minor injuries after a motorcycle accident along the Quehanna Highway in Benezette Township, the Ridgway-based state police reported.
Howard D. Dietrich, 53, of Chicora attempted to avoid striking a tree, which had fallen across the roadway. While negotiating around the tree, he lost control of his motorcycle on the berm. The motorcycle subsequently slid out from underneath him.
Both Dietrich and his passenger, Ginger L. Painter, 53, of Sarver sustained minor injuries. Both were transported to the Clearfield Hospital for medical treatment. The motorcycle sustained functional damage.
State police were assisted by the Karthaus Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services.
