During last week’s Dream Big: Read events at Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library, youth designed jars to house lightning bugs, learned all about bats and created lanterns. Although the fun programs may have concluded, there is still a chance for people of all ages to win great prizes this summer just for reading and logging books.
The Conservatory will be open for youth to redeem all reading and program attendance incentives. Visit the front desk of the library any time during regular business hours from now through Aug. 4 and Aug. 6 through Aug. 11 to receive any earned Planet Bills. Youth are reminded to bring any Star Coins from recent program attendance for use at the Conservatory.
In addition, young adults in the Own the Night program and adults in Between the Book Covers are encouraged to visit the front desk of the library during regular business hours to redeem any earned reading incentives.
All books and minutes must be logged using the online account prior to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10.
Registration for the Dream Big: Read summer reading program continues through 5 p.m. Aug. 10. All registrations are completed online at Shaw Public Library’s web site www.clearfield.org/shaw.

Children ages birth through preschool age should enroll in the Read-to-Me program. Youth who have completed kindergarten through grade 2 are encouraged to participate in the School Age A program and those who have completed grades 3 through 5 will enroll in the School Age B program.
