CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of July 30.
He’s identified the fugitive as Heather Ann Ellinger, 33, of Reynoldsville. Ellinger is wanted for failure to appear at pretrial conferences on July 1.
On Dec. 27, 2011, Trooper Steven Johnson of the Pennsylvania State Police, Punxsutawney barracks, filed a criminal complaint, charging Ellinger with driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving, driving on roadways laned for traffic, restriction on alcoholic beverages and restraint systems.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Johnson states that on Dec. 4, 2011, while on routine patrol, troopers observed a vehicle driving erratically on state Route 119. Upon making contact with the driver, Johnson detected signs of impairment and requested that Ellinger perform field sobriety tests. After administering the field sobriety tests, Ellinger was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for blood testing.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Jan. 27 at which time all charges were held for court. On July 19, Ellinger failed to appear for pretrial conferences and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Ellinger is described as follows a Caucasian woman, standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall. She has brown eyes and hair.
