AUSTIN– The Sinnemahoning State Park has announced pontoon boat tours for Sunday, Aug. 5. Rides begin at 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., and participants should meet at the Boat Launch area.
Participants will join the park naturalist for a relaxing and informative 45-minute tour of the George B. Stevenson Reservoir. This program focuses on the birds, plants and wildlife of lake and wetland habitats.
The pontoon boat has 18 available seats. Tours are offered free of charge, but donations are accepted. Advance reservations are recommended and may be made by calling the park office at 814-647-8401. You may also sign up until 12 p.m. at the park office or at the Eagle Watch Station near boat launch area up until the time of departure.
