The Clarks are the best kept secret in American Rock with more than 300,000 albums sold and sell-out venues that seat in the thousands; they have shown they are more than a regional favorite. The Clarks are an American rock band that have somehow managed to stay together for 20-plus years, support themselves through their music and remain relative unknowns.
From the scorching guitars of ‘Trampoline’ to the storytelling of ‘Midnight Rose,’ the new songs deliver a real rock band playing real instruments. Add in overlapping vocals, driving percussion and great hooks, and you’ve got a cohesive collection of muscular music from a seasoned band that knows their trade. If Green Day played songs written by Paul McCartney, the result might sound a bit like ‘Restless Days’.
The Clarks describe themselves with pride as a band that’s “always fashionably in style and fashionably out of style all at the same time. They’ve never struck arena-rock poses – never had any gimmicks or affectations at all. They just get onstage and get it done. And they’ve never found a reason to do it any other way.
Advance Gate Only, Advance Gate/Ride, and the Family Value Special Pass are available until Sunday, July 29 at the Ticket window only. The Advance Gate Only pass is perfect for fairgoers who do not take part in the midway as it offers a discounted price of $5. The Family Value Special Pass offers (6) Gate Only Admissions (rides not included) for only $25. The admissions can be used all in one day or spread throughout the week.
Senior citizens will be admitted free from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday with proof of age. Military personnel, active or inactive, will be admitted free from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday with proof of service.
Admission paid at the gate during fair week is $8, ages 4 and up, and includes all day rides, entertainment on the David H. Litz Grove Stage, The Zerbini Family Circus, Buffo World’s Strongest Clown, Dynamo Disc Dogs, harness racing and livestock, commercial, and non-commercial exhibits.
