COVINGTON TOWNSHIP – A Frenchville woman was transported to the Clearfield Hospital following a single-vehicle accident at 9:25 p.m. Thursday on Rolling Stone Road in Covington Township, the Clearfield-based state police reported.
Billi J. Maney, 22, of Frenchville was traveling southbound on Rolling Stone Road and negotiating a right-hand curve. At that point, she lost control of her vehicle due to wet roadway conditions.
The Maney vehicle then traveled off the east berm and struck a tree with its passenger side door area. After impacting the tree, it came to a final rest approximately six feet off the eastern shoulder, facing southeast.
Maney was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for a medical evaluation via a private vehicle. State police weren’t certain if Maney sustained any injuries. She’ll be cited for driving vehicle at safe speed through the district court.
