Barbara “Jane” Bailey, 67, of Philipsburg died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.
Born Dec. 2, 1944 in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Forest and Isabel (Scott) Colgan.
Mrs. Bailey was a 1962 graduate of the Indiana High School.
She had a license in cosmetology and real estate. She retired from Giant Foods.
She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Philipsburg. She was also the church secretary for several years.
She’s survived by a sister, Joan Kern of Visalia, CA; her best friend, Martha “Marcie” Goodlin and her husband, Joel of Burnside and their children, Shelley, Dennis and Marcy Jo.
She was married to Kenneth J. Bailey Jr., whom died Feb. 4, 2007. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Colgan.
A private graveside service and burial will be held Saturday at the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana with Pastor Stephen Bond officiating. There will be no public visitation.
