Someone entered Butler Trucking and hooked up to a Bedford man’s trailer, then left with the trailer, which contained high-grade stainless steel ingots. The metal belongs to Cruisible Industries of Syracuse, NY. Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact police.
On July 11, Paul Moran of Winston-Salem, NC was traveling south on state Route 729 in Lumber City Borough. Daniel Smeal of Ramey was traveling east on SR 969. Moran failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection between the two routes. Smeal struck Moran’s vehicle. Moran’s vehicle overturned onto its roof. Police said Moran suffered major injuries. Both men were wearing their seat belts. Moran was cited as a result of the accident. Police were assisted at the scene by Curwensville Fire Company.
Police investigated a report of simple assault and domestic violence on Church Street in Morrisdale. A Morrisdale man was arrested for simple assault and placed in Clearfield County Jail.
A Houtzdale man and a Clearfield woman got into an argument that turned physical James A. Pyle of Houtzdale is accused of punching the woman several times in the face and kicking her in the ribs. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Hawkins and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
Someone threw eggs on  Hawk Run resident’s vehicle while it was parked along Empire Road in Morris Township.
